✦ Pet Caption Party

Privacy

Pet profiles stay on the host’s iPhone. When the host starts a party, the chosen pet photo, name, traits, caption choices, and votes are stored temporarily so invited guests can play. The host can end and delete a party at any time; open parties expire after 24 hours and are removed by an automatic cleanup job. Cloudflare hosts the service: party records are stored in a dedicated D1 database and photos in a private R2 bucket. Expired or deleted parties immediately stop accepting access. Failed photo deletions are retried hourly; a two-day object lifecycle is an additional cleanup backstop, with provider processing delays possible. We do not maintain a separate photo backup. Deleted database records may remain in restricted D1 recovery history for seven additional days under the current Free plan.

Captions come from a built-in library and are personalized on the host’s iPhone. We do not call an AI service or send pet details or photos to an AI provider. The host sees an explanation before creating an online party.

Guests join using a private link. We do not ask guests for names, email addresses, or accounts. A random ID in their browser helps enforce one vote per browser. We keep daily totals of parties created, winners revealed, and completed shares, without pet details or guest identities. A short-lived pseudonymous host ID limits party creation. A report saves the reported caption and selected reason for up to 30 days so the operator can respond. Application request logging is disabled. Cloudflare may still process technical metadata needed to deliver and protect the service. We do not intentionally log pet details, photos, or invitation credentials.

The host can remove party data within the app. For privacy questions or deletion requests, use the contact listed on the support page.

Pet Caption Party is for entertainment. It does not translate animal language.
